1. What is a cookie ?
When you are on your computer, tablet or mobile, you or rather your terminal transmits information without you knowing it, you leave traces of your passage on the websites you visit.
The term “cookie” or “tracer” is a small amount of data, identified by a name, which is sent by a web server to be stored in the browser. It brings back certain information when you navigate on the different pages of the Site such as the identifier of the equipment used during the consultation of the services (IP address of your terminal, Android identifier, Apple identifier…), the operating system used by your terminal (Microsoft Windows, Apple OS, Android OS…), the type and version of the navigation software used by your terminal (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Apple Safari…), the date and time of connection to our Site, the content consulted…
Cookies do not contain the personal information you provide on the Site, such as your name, surname, address, etc.. They do not, therefore, allow you to be personally identified. In other words, the cookie alone allows us to recognize your terminal when you connect to the Site but does not allow us to know that it is you, Mr. Smith, who is hiding behind it.
They are all elements of information, but in no case viruses. The cookies are not dangerous neither for your health, nor for your terminal ;).
2. Who can deposit cookies on the Site?
All cookies are deposited by or on behalf of RIANS, the controller and publisher of the Site.
The issuance and use of cookies by third party companies on the Site are subject to the cookie policies of those partners.
Third-party cookies are not essential to navigation on the Site.
You will find in the “Cookies” banner or in the “Manage Cookies” section the updated list of partners who deposit cookies on their own behalf.
3. What happens if I share my terminal with other people?
If your terminal (computer, tablet, mobile) is used by several people or has several browsers, sharing with other people and configuring your browser settings for cookies is your responsibility.
Indeed, we cannot know whether the services and advertisements intended for your terminal correspond to your personal use and not to that of another user of your terminal.
4. What is the purpose of the cookies placed on the Site?
The cookies placed on the Site serve different purposes:
Cookies necessary for the functioning of the service (or so-called “essential”) or for the functionalities of the Site These cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the Site and, as such, exempt from the collection of consent. They are for example :
- cookies storing the value of consent or refusal
- cookies intended for authentication
- cookies allowing the presentation of services to be adapted to your terminal’s display preferences
- cookies for personalizing the user interface
- cookies intended for the management of the content of the order and its payment.
These cookies do not require your consent but are in our legitimate interest. They allow us to facilitate your navigation and improve our services.
Cookies for audience measurement These cookies are used to measure the audience and the frequentation of the Site. To help us in this process, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by the company of the same name, Google Inc (“Google”)
The cookies generated by Google Analytics, on our behalf, collect the following information
- the pages you visit on our Site,
- what you click on,
- the time spent on each page
- the links that brought you to us.
With these statistics on the volume of visits to our Site and its various sections, we can improve the interest and ergonomics of our services. These cookies are never combined with personal data such as your name, first name, phone number or the color of your nail polish… 😉
Advertising cookies Advertising cookies have different purposes. They are for example to: - Measuring the performance and effectiveness of our advertising campaigns
- Determine behaviors and thus improve user or customer knowledge for purposes including personalization
- To create a personalized profile of advertisements about you and your interests in order to show you personalized advertisements that may be of interest to you, whether or not by combining this information with other previously collected information
- Select ads based on the editorial content you view, the application you use, your approximate location, or your device type.
The precise purposes for collecting data for advertising targeting are described in the active cookie banner on the Site. You have the option of accepting or refusing them on a case-by-case basis.
Social network cookies These cookies allow you to share content on the social networks or platforms present on our Site or to access the page of the corresponding social network (e.g. Facebook, Instagram…).
The social network providing such an application button is likely to identify you thanks to this button, even if you did not use it when using our services. We invite you to consult the privacy policies of these social networks in order to learn about the purposes of use, including advertising and browsing information that they may collect through these application buttons.
5. How long are cookies kept?
We keep your choices concerning your agreement or refusal on cookies for 6 months. You can change your choices at any time by clicking on “Manage Cookies” at the bottom of the Site.
Cookies are kept for a maximum of 13 months from the date of their collection, with the exception of Google Analytics audience measurement cookies, which may be kept for a longer period. Google is solely responsible for the use and duration of the audience measurement cookies deposited.
6. How to manage cookies?
You are free, at any time, to authorize or not the deposit of all or part of the cookies requiring consent.
In case of refusal, the cookies are not deleted but the calls of the partners to these cookies are blocked and these cookies do not collect any more information. You always have the option to delete them directly in your browser (see below).
There are different ways to set and manage cookies depending on whether you wish to oppose the deposit of all cookies requiring consent or the deposit of certain types of cookies.
Please note: To take into account your refusal to deposit a cookie, we must install one. Therefore, if you deactivate all cookies on your terminal or if you change your terminal, we will no longer know that you have chosen this option.
Setting via the “Cookies” banner on the home page: When you first connect to the Site, you can set the cookies that will be deposited on your terminal via the “Cookies” banner on the home page of the Site.
This banner gives you the following information
- the types of cookies that will be placed on your terminal if you accept them;
- the partner companies that may also deposit cookies.
Thus, you can choose to accept all cookies or to select :
- the cookies you accept and those you refuse according to their purpose;
- the partner companies whose cookies you accept.
You can also leave the cookies consent banner by clicking on “Continue without accepting” to refuse the cookies. It is specified that the simple fact of continuing the navigation without clicking on one of the options proposed by this cookies banner is similar to a refusal of consent.
If you refuse the deposit or reading of cookies, a refusal cookie will be deposited on your terminal, in order to record the information according to which you opposed the use of cookies, for a period of 6 months. Also, if you delete this refusal cookie, it will no longer be possible to identify you as having refused the use of cookies.
Settings via the “Manage Cookies” link at the bottom of our Site: Once you have accepted or refused all or part of the cookies, you can modify your choices at any time via the “Manage Cookies” link located at the bottom of the Site. There you will find the last settings you made and you can change them at your convenience.
Setting your browser to delete cookies: Most browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari or Google Chrome automatically enable cookies. You can visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org/fr/gerer-les-cookies/ for more information on the most common browsers.
A quick reminder: a browser is a piece of software that essentially allows you to view a website from a mobile device, tablet or computer.
To change your browser settings, click on the link for your browser. If you don’t know where to find it, click on the “Help” icon at the top of your browser window, then select “About [browser name]”. The information you need will then appear on the screen.
